Do people really think if Obama is the Antichrist and we don’t vote for him, the Bible wont come true? ?

I mean, come on… If Obama is the anti-christ, no matter what we do to stop it, it will happen. And if Obama ISN’T the anti-christ, someone else will be sent.

I received this in an email.

A Trivia question in Sunday School: How long is the beast allowed to have authority in Revelation? Revelation Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is. Almost a four-year term of a Presidency. All I can say is ‘Lord, Have mercy on us!’ According to The Book of Revelation the anti-Christ is:

The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything..

my thoughts exactly…..alot of ppl. say he is gonna be the anti-christ…..but if he is no one can stop the bible from fullfilling! Its like another thing, christain ppl. are going around saying oh i just dont understand the prices on gas, clothes, food etc……and why the hurricanes and so on are coming…….can you really be a christian and not understand that thte bible is coming to pass?????? come on ppl. open your eyes and see the day we are living in

Antichrist comes from the Greek, meaning &quot:opposing the messiah&quot:. Antichrists have been around since Christ’s era. When one denies that Christ came in the flesh and denies that He is the son of God, that would be considered antichrist. They are not necessarily a particular person.
The Bible mentions antiChrist only four times, and people often equate that with some coming antichrist, which the Bible shows no correlation.

I think you might be thinking of the false prophet who will become in league with Great Beast of Revelation, beast, of course, being a kingdom or government not a real beast. We don’t know if that necessarily has to do with Obama. God has already predetermined who will be president, whoemever that is, for the purposes of supporting His grand plan.

Even if we say that your book of mythology is correct, there are several factual inconsistencies with your little prophesy of doom.
First off, a presidential term is 48 months, not 42. Secondly, Obama is christian, not muslim, and always has been, he’s been going to the same church for over 20 years, and this was all over the news a few months ago, where were you?
Finally, though Obama is certainly a good speaker and draws crowds, so do McCain and Sarah Palin, in fact, pretty much all presidential candidates draw big crowds, it doesn’t really make him stand out. Furthermore, currently he’s polling pretty much even with McCain, which is (unfortunately) hardly people &quot:flocking to him&quot:.

Except for the Muslim descent part, that sounds like almost every presidential candidate since Lincoln.

The antichrist is a figure of speech. There’s no person who is the antichrist, like there is no person who is, or was, christ. Both are representations. The antichrist is only the time when humanities growth is overtaken by our self destructive traits. It’s not evil, it’s just human nature.

We WILL wipe ourselves out, right off the face of this little blue dot. It’s only a matter of &quot:when&quot:.

Atheistically yours,
JM Gendron.

I believe that we &quot:as Christians&quot: should be doing what we were told to do. Be watching for the eminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Guarding our hearts and minds against Satan’s world system’s influence.

The 42 months mentioned in Rev. 13 is exactly 3 1/2 years which equates to the length of the Tribulation period and has nothing to do with a presidential term.

No where in the Bible does it say that the anti-Christ will be of Muslim descent or gives an age for him. No one knows or will know until after the rapture of the church (all true believers) who the anti-Christ is.

Your email came from one who has a very fertile imagination and would have others to believe false doctrines.

The following pertains to the Rapture of the Church.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep (died), lest you sorrow as others who have no hope (those who have not trusted in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection for their salvation). 14 For if (since) we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord (the eminent return) will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpt of God. And the dead in Christ (from pentecost till He comes) will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up (Gr. harpodzo=rapture) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore (conclusion) comfort one another with these words.

The Rapture of the Church occurs before the Tribulation period so all true believers will be watching from heaven as the &quot:earth dwellers&quot: (those who call the earth their home rather than heaven/unbelievers left behind) go through the seal, bowl, and trumpet judgments of God upon the earth and the &quot:earth dwellers.&quot:

So you see it really doesn’t matter who the anti-Christ is because all the true believers will not partake in God’s wrath that will be poured out upon the earth.

Obama is not that popular. The bible does not say one word about the Anti-Christ being od Muslim Decent. He will come from the European Nation. By the way I said the same thing about Bush 8 years ago.

The Bible doesn’t say how old the man will be, and it doesn’t mention the Muslim religion, Instead it says this in regards to identifying the Anti-Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.

3 Let no one deceive you by any means: for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work: only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Revelation 13:11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth–by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Well since, according to the Bible, the anti-Christ will fool the Christian masses (a wolf in sheeps clothing), then wouldn’t Palin be a better choice? She has them all fooled.

Oh, and the Bible mentions NOTHING about &quot:him&quot: being of Muslim descent.

I’m wondering how the book of Revelations could mention a man of muslim descent when it was written before the muslim religion even existed. Truly, the ways of the lord are mysterious, but not half as mysterious as the sheer credulity of the average yankee religious f*ckwit…

I seriously doubt that Obama is the Antichrist. I don’t like what Obama stands for and I don’t plan to vote for him… but that doesn’t make him the Antichrist.

Rumors like this make it easy to see why some people don’t take Christians seriously.

At any rate, if he *was* the Antichrist, he would rise to power regardless of what we do. So we might as well vote our conscience and pray that God’s will is done.
