According to the bible, how will the world end?

I don’t know much… Biblically, I think it says going to be like a 7 year period or something where pretty much the good is taken out of the world and some people believe christians won’t be here and some people don’t. Thats about all I know. So what happens after that according to the bible?

God is in control, and according to the Bible the world will not end in 2012, how do I know this? The Bible tells us that the Church age (age of the gentiles) will end at the rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51-58, 1 Thessalonians 13:-18), and that the Tribulation will begin shortly there after, which is a 7 year period of time where God will judge, it will be a period of hell on earth, especially the last 3 1/2 years.
At the end of the tribulation period, the Lord Jesus Christ will return with His church and establish His 1000 year reign, where He will rule on the earth. (Rev 19:11). At the end of the 1000 years Satan who has been in chains in the bottomless pit will be released for a short time. Satan will once again deceive many into following him. Satan will be cast into the lake of fire and God will bring forth the Great White Throne judgment, all the lost (unbelievers) will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:10-15.

What is the fate of this old world.
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

Events foretold in the appear to be unfolding before our eyes.
The re-birth of Israel, the resurrection of the Hebrew language, over-population, advancements in technology, etc… These events warn us that the Church age is rapidly coming to a close.

Knowing who controls the universe brings inner peace, even in the worst of times.

(Personal note: Anyone who makes a statement about Christians believing that the world is flat is just showing their ignorance).

How does one know God in a personal way?
1. Realize that God loves you. John 3:16 Says, &quot:For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but hath everlasting life.&quot:

God loves you and He has demonstrated that love through the person and work of His Son Jesus.
God created you and God wants to have a meaningful relationship with you .
He has a plan and purpose for your life. He wants you to have real lasting hope, peace and joy. Things that the world cannot give you.

2. Recognize that sin has separated us from God.
Romans 3:23 tells us, &quot:ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
The Bible tells us that we have all chosen to go our own way, to do our own thing, instead of following God, His commands, and His perfect will for our lives. When we do this we sin, and sin carries a high price tag.

Romans 6:23 says, &quot:The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

We deserve death and hell because of our sin, but God does not want to give us what we deserve, He wants to give us what we do not deserve, namely forgiveness of sin, peace with God, hope, inner peace, joy, eternal life, and a home in heaven.

Jesus provides the only way to have all of these. Do you want forgiveness of your sin and peace with God? Yes or no?

3. Respond to God’s only provision for sin.
Jesus said, &quot:I am the way, the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father but through me. John 14:6

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, where by we must be saved.

We cannot get into heaven or have peace with God through our own efforts.
The only way to God is through the Son, Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, &quot:For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.&quot:

Do you want to know Jesus and experience true meaningful life?

If yes, tell Him you are sorry for your sin, that you believe that He died
for you, and rose again, and ask Him to come into your heart and be
your Lord and Savior, and you have God’s word that you will be

&quot:For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.&quot: Romans 10:13.

Although dozens of &quot:interpretations&quot: are offered, there is simply no way to construct an &quot:end-of-the-world&quot: walkthrough out of Bible passages. There are simply too few connections and too many contradictions. Any number of &quot:experts&quot: argue over whether the &quot:tribulation&quot: will happen before, during or after the &quot:rapture&quot:. And that’s on a good day. The book of Revelation finishes up saying that heaven and earth will be done away with, to be replaced by a new heaven and a new, perfect earth. How this is to be interpreted is anyone’s guess. Rather than obsessing about it, I advise you to concentrate on doing the present-day work of God, feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, encouraging and aiding the suffering, and speaking out against the corrupt manifestations of wealth and power. That way God can pick you out from the non-believers and provide you a good seat for the spectacle.

There never has been a clearly defined for sure step by step on how the world will end. Revelations is about the persecutions that were taking place in Rome in the early days. The evil one was Nero who blamed the Christians for the burning of Rome and caused many deaths in the city. How God wants to proceed is His business, not even the angels know the date or the hour.

&quot:The end of the world&quot: is a term used by some people for what they believe Bible Prophecy says about the fate of the earth. Such verses as &quot:this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations: and then the end will come&quot: (Matthew 24:14 RSV), and others like it, are used as supposed examples of the earth’s complete destruction, but is that really what’s going to happen?

The Bible says that at the end of this particular period in which we are living, He will destroy the antiChrist’s evil system of government and remake the earth to it’s previous Garden of Eden state.

This new earth will last a thousand years until Jesus releases satan again to give the people of the earth a final test. After this last great battle is over, satan will be tossed into the eternal lake of fire for eternity.

Then God will bring every human that ever lived before Him at the Last Judgment. He will separate the sheep from the goats and then destroy this world by a great cataclysmic fire. The goats will be in hell with satan and his demons and the sheep will be in heaven with God for eternity.

there are so many different versions of the Bible, different claims, how could anyone ever keep track…?

&quot:*pink*&quot: is right, the Bible also claimed that the world is flat. the roman catholic church also said that women should not vote or be educated. the roman catholic church said that women must make as much babies as possible. only as the world modernized, did the church and Bible modernize. the bible has been changed more times than you can imagine, altered to please followers. changed so that the religion meets sinful desires. this is exactly the problem with Catholicism. this is exactly why i left it. on the other hand, the Qu’ran has never been altered, and yet it has made correct predictions about modern day. Islam also, from DAY ONE, from the first time the Qu’ran was revealed, stated that every human being shall be educated.

Its going to be destroyed by fire and balls of fire just like Gomorrah and Egypt- along with some plagues. Check this video out:

People who say it doesn’t say how its going to end are blind. Why would God write a book in secret? When the last book is called Revelation?

&quot:But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time: many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.&quot: Daniel 12:4

Doesn’t it look like we’re indeed in the end times? Think about it.

It will end with fire: The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth.

And a third of the earth was burned up,
and a third of the trees were burned up.

From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account

of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

The second angel blew his trumpet,
and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown

and a third of the sea became blood.
A third of the living creatures in the sea died.

Read Revelation 16:8++

Well if its anything like the old testament.
It will be long, slow, and painful. Probably some pestilence, mixed with starvation, little bit of nuclear fallout. Maybe even a war or two. throw in some flooding, drought and wind storms. Some locust swarms, always fun stuff. Maybe this time he’ll go SCI-FI on us an have some aliens come harvest us for food or something.

Revelation describes the new order, when those chosen will live forever in the new Jerusalem, while everyone else is just dead:

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, &quot:Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.&quot:

Bible doesn’t say how it will end, it says that Jesus will restore the earth after the 7 years that anti-christ rules the world.
