thanks for the link – Barry will be Carter, part 2.

I remember the disaster with Carter. This WILL be much worse!

The times are different. From a recent economic report:

The economic bind facing Republicans in 2008 is far worse than what the Democrats were looking at back in 1980, when voters handed Carter a crushing defeat. The economy performed better during the Carter years than it did under Bush. By 12 of 23 measures, the economy was doing better in 1980 than in 1976. By comparison, only two of 25 indicators are better now than they were in 2000.

He’s not pushing &quot:Jimmy Carter-like economic policies&quot:.

But let’s be fair to Carter. Did he ruin the economy in the 70’s? NO. He inherited the bad economy and tried to fix it. He reduced the deficit. Was that a bad thing? He started the process of squeezing inflation out, but it only bore fruit in his successor’s Administraiton.

i think of Carter’s. annoying selection, being the two so undesirable. I say Carter extra advantageous because of the fact a minimum of we would desire to deal with the debt load. i’m no longer so particular we are able to pay the pastime on cutting-edge debt load, no longer to show the debt. Obama might have bankrupt the rustic. now could be that no longer a superb legacy?

Simple, different world situtation, WE are all ready in the Middle East, so Iran kidnapping citizens can be solved in a day, that was the only reason he lost in 1980.

The world would be a better place if McCain/Bush and the American right wing had never existed. Thousands of Americans and Iraqis would still be alive, tens of thousands or Iraqis would still be living in their own homes. The American economy would not have hopped from bubble to bubble if the right wing had not put all of their faith in deregulation, and American jobs would not have been sent abroad. Our tax dollars would not have flowed upward into the coffers of the rich, and the war machine would not comprise such a large part of our economy. We would have retained the respect of other nations, and not aroused the absolute hatred of those we have attempted to bomb into submission. We would get along better with one another if the right wing had not used tribal hatreds to arouse their base against black people, immigrants, liberals, and the well-educated. Our infrastructure, health care, and schools would be better if the billions spent on futile wars had been spent on domestic needs. The planet would be a better place if our addiction to oil had been broken 25 years ago.McCain have been in office over 26 years how can we trust him to take this country into another direction when he have done nothing over the pass 26 years ?

This is why i voted for OBAMA – GO VOTE

Didn’t think Barrack knew who Jimmy Carter was let alone what his policies are.

the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results – Barry is insane if he thinks he will get anything different by doing the same things that Carter did!

Not!
