Why do &quot:Christians&quot: worship Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

It is clear that lies are mixed into Christianity. Why do we tell our children that a fat man in a red suit comes down the chimmney with presents? Once they find out that it was all a lie, will they think Jesus is real or will they wonder if He was part of the fairy tale also? Why do Pastors and Priest and decons and elders say nothing to the churches to stop the worship of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Did Christ die on the cross and come back from the dead on the 3rd day or was it really the Easter Bunny? Santa and the Easter Bunny get the recognition? I told my children that Santa Claus was a made up character to keep people from knowing who Jesus Christ is. Was I wrong? How would you feel if you had a birthday party on your birthday and everyone celebrated an invisible man and a dead tree, and ignored you?

People are dumb for lying to their kids like that. This culture thinks its ok and fun. I feel stupid making people happy off of lies. Thats why I would never make a good preacher.

I’m a Christian. I don’t &quot:worship&quot: Santa or the Easter Bunny !

By the time children find out about Santa, they are old enough to understand the story and understand it’s just that…a story…not a lie. Santa and the Easter Bunny are not &quot:worshipped&quot:.
To worship anyone you must love and adore it more than anything or anyone else.

If you chose to tell your children Santa was a made up character to keep people from knowing Jesus, you were partially right. He is made up, but he can’t keep anyone from knowing Jesus ! You give these fake characters way too much power !!!!
I grew up believing in both as a young child. I’m a strong believer in Christ as an adult and I have been for years ! I became a believer as a teenager.

i dotn worship either of those, little kids learn that stuff from school and from parents. But not everyone in the church may agree with the teachings of Santa Claus and The easter bunny, HOnestly I think that Santa Claus and the Easter bunny were made up to teach children good behavior.

I’m with you.

You start with telling a child there’s a Santa Clause, an Easter Bunny, a tooth fairy, a Jesus, and a God. Just a few short years later, they learn there is no Santa Clause, Easter Bunny or a tooth fairy. 3 out of five? Where does that leave faith in God or Jesus?

I’m an atheist, and I think it’s a crazy idea.

Let me just throw in that most Christian holidays began with pagan festivals. Christmas was a celebration of Winter solstice and Easter was a celebration of fertility.

I think your very confused. I dont think anyone worships Saint Nicholas or the Easter BUnny. Santa comes from Saint Nicholas ( Sinter Clause to Santa Clause) which comes from a tradition in Christianity. Why are you celebrating christmas if you dont believe in Jesus anyways? Its a catholic holiday per say, so you shoulodt have to worry about all it then. Same is with easter bunny, in accordance to easter time. There is a difference of WORSHIPING and just following a nice tradition. and you were very wrong in my opinion. You took the joy and warmth out of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. psshhhh

Where do you get this stuff? Christians worship neither Santa Claus nor the Easter Bunny.

Christians worship Jesus Christ

You make some sense BUT, we don’t WORSHIP santa clause or the easter bunny. Yes ,I think it should be made clear the santa is a figure in our minds and for fun. The easter bunny also. But to say we worship them is a little too far fetched, don’t you think ?

We don’t worship Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. My children know the truth concerning Christmas. Please don’t generalize.

Sir, we don’t worship them. Im not catholic, but I know that santa was a Saint and I think he gave toys to children. And the Easter Bunny, I think that the signifagince isn’t him himself, but the egss, which represent new life. Again sir, please don’t sugest that we WORSHIP them.
