I’m simply trying to clarify exactly what people think is the relationship of homosexuality to sin.
Is it a sin to have desires for people of the same sex, or is it only a sin to act on those desires?
For the record, I don’t believe either is a sin.
I believe NOT allowing homosexuals to marry is a sin.
Sickens me when the religious right uses the excuse that sex outside of marriage is a sin and then picket to exclude same sex couples from the same rights as heterosexual couples.
OPPS lost my top contributor icon now too lol go figure.
It’s always interesting to hear answers to questions like this.
They often say that being homosexual isn’t a sin, but acting on your desires is. (I’ve read this in many Catholic writings.) This seems to conflict with the Christian teaching that the thought is the sin.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. If you have desired another sexually in your heart you have already committed adultery. Acting out and desiring sexually is a sin. One of the Ten Commandments say that adultery is a sin. Therefore, homosexuality is a sin because God will not recognize that marriage even if they decide to get married. Jesus forgives every sin. Heterosexuals and homosexuals must know that sex before marriage is a sin and is punishable by death.
Both are sins. Having sex outside of marriage is a sin ( same sex or not ), and homosexuals can’t have a Godly marriage. God’s plan for marriage is one man and one woman, there is no alternative. Having desires for some one of the same sex is also a sin, the Bible calls homosexuality an abomination, and to lust after it is also a sin. It also say that if you look on someone with lust, you have already committed that sin in your heart.
Neither is a sin. Engaging in sex with someone, then hurting them, is a sin.
I think thoughts can lead to sin, but only the action itself is a sin.
Temptation is not sin. Yielding to temptation is the sin. As for thought: we cannot help it when certain thoughts creep into our minds, but when you take that thought and play with it to see how far you can go with it, it is sin. It matters not what your particular sin is: if you dwell on the scenario in your mind to get gratification from it, that is sinning.
i presumed the jesus team weren’t down with the gaylords because of the fact vast G pronounced you are going to be able to desire to not lay with something that’s not a woman – meaning are not getting sparkling with animals not mens bottoms yet now some human beings are not so happy with gays (even however the romans enjoyed gayness and have been at it probably greater beneficial than we are actually) it rather is a extensive issue all and sundry likes to shake thier offended flannel at. truly human beings, in case you do not opt for a penis on your backside thats cool yet please are not getting offended because of the fact my buddy needs one in his. thats his proper as a individual. the place as animals, they cant say no and thats merely rape. im with you on that one god guy
I’m with you – I don’t believe either is a sin.
There are many religious groups and organizations that wish to force their beliefs on the rest of us… that is more of a sin to me.
God loves gay people too.
sinfully thinking of sin is sin and sinning is sin, you sinner
