Hi, i’m still looking for my first car after struggling with the first 2 cars. Someone offers to sell his 1996 Lexus LS400 with 215k miles in it, claimed that the car has been religiously serviced at the dealer, asking price $4950, is there anybody has the similar car with that millage? what do you think about the car (for owner)?
Take it for a test drive.
You can go to any Lexus dealer and get a full used car inspection for $200 and that will tell you if anything is wrong with the car. You can also call any Lexus dealer give the VIN and find out if it was serviced at any dealer in the US.
This model is great. But check the car out completely before your purchase.
RE: 1996 Lexus LS400 a good buy? I’m looking for my first car, and i spotted a 1996 Lexus LS400 with 132000 miles on it. I know its high, but by looking at the age it is pretty decent millages i guess? However, the dealer wants $6000 for the car. Here is my concern, I live in michigan would it be a good choice due to snow in…
Honestly…any car with over 200k+ miles should not be asking anywhere near 5000 dollars
they are good cars, but the matinence on it would be very expensive, and for the mileage the price is about 1500 more than i’d pay
Look it up on edmunds.com. It’ll give current value for dealer and private sale based on condition, mileage, accessories, etc.
