Do religious beliefs affect your view on abortion?

Would anyone that responds to this please state their religion and then their view? Im doing research into this topic, so any answers, opinions/views i would be extreamly grate full for.

I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and m religious beliefs certainly do affect my view of abortion. I always view Gods opinion as most important. The single most important thing in my life is having Gods approval in everything. Including the way I choose to deal with my body.

Respect for life is rooted in recognition of the fact that life is a gift from God. (Psalm 36:9) For with you is the source of life: By light from you we can see light. (Acts 17:24-25) The God that made the world and all the things in it, being, as this One is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples, 25 neither is he attended to by human hands as if he needed anything, because he himself gives to all [persons] life and breath and all things.
It includes a realization that even the life of the unborn is precious in the eyes of God. (Exodus 21:22-25) “And in case men should struggle with each other and they really hurt a pregnant woman and her children do come out but no fatal accident occurs, he is to have damages imposed upon him without fail according to what the owner of the woman may lay upon him: and he must give it through the justices. 23 But if a fatal accident should occur, then you must give soul for soul, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 branding for branding, wound for wound, blow for blow. (Psalm 139:1) O Jehovah, you have searched through me, and you know [me]. (Psalm 139:16) Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, And in your book all its parts were down in writing, As regards the days when they were formed And there was not yet one among them.
It takes into account that “each of us will render an account for himself to God.”—Rom. 14:12. In line with these Bible principles, Jehovah’s Witnesses have consistently shunned the practice of abortion. To provide sound direction to its readers, Awake! magazine has helped them to appreciate that chastity is a divine requirement: it has discussed at length the marvels of the procreative process as well as the psychological and physiological factors involved in childbirth. In the post-World War II era, as abortions became more commonplace, The Watchtower showed clearly that this practice is contrary to the Word of God. Mincing no words, the issue of December 15, 1969, said: “Abortion simply to get rid of an unwanted child is the same as willfully taking a human life.”

God views abortion as wrong — a sin. I want Gods approval and thus am fully against the taking of any human life, be it by any means. Including abortion!

That would also include the murder of anyone who performs abortion. That also is clearly against Bible principles and unacceptable as well.

while God created life he suggested bypass and multiply additionally God has a plan for each guy or woman interior the international and while somebody aborts a new child that youngster that replaced into aborted will in no way fulfill Fathers plans . it extremely is a extreme offense to God. it extremely is homicide in Gods eyes and the penalty is dying until you repent and extremely advise it. while Cain murdered able his blood replaced into crying out from the floor it replaced into his unborn babies and there babies that could desire to in no way be born. Ephesians one million v. 4 and 5 this is documentation of everyones objective born and unborn. he chosen us earlier the commencing place of the international.

No, my religion does not affect my view on abortion. I’m Episcopalian – and my religion has a nice way of staying out of my bedroom, my womb and my voting booth.

I am Muslim and am also against it but in certain circumstances i believe it is ok for instance if haveing the baby would put the mothers life at risk then yes i believe abortion is allowed.

I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Bible is very clear on how God sees an unborn baby. In a matter of 2 men arguing if a pregnant woman was killed, the souls were 2, that of the woman and that of the unborn baby. It does not say what trimester or how many months along.

I am a Christian. Im against abortion. We live in a very double standard world today. A good loving Mother can have a car wreck due to a drunk driver and her child get killed and she get charged with murder because she didn’t have the right size car seat. But, a 13 year old girl can walk into an abortion clinic without her parents knowing and take the life of an innocence baby. Just doesn’t seem right. Billy Grahams Prayer for our nation

&quot:Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know you Word says &quot:Woe to those who call evil good,: but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibruim and reversed our values. We Confess that.

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of your word and called it Pluarlism.

We have worshipped other gods and called it multicultualism.

We have endorsed the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewared laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our childern and called it buildin self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today: cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of Your will, to open ask it in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

No, my religion does not affect my beliefs.

My beliefs determine my &quot:religion&quot:.

I find it interesting that many of the people on this thread who support abortion in the name of &quot:choice&quot: and &quot:tolerance&quot: won’t let pro-life people have a choice and are only tolerant of people who agree with them. I see all the thumbs-down on the pro-life comments, and all the thumbs-up on the pro-choice comments.

Apparently, socially, there is no choice.

Everyone who gave me a thumbs-down on this just proved my point. Thanks.

I’m a pagan(non-practicing) and my belief system doesn’t really affect my pro-choice stance. I was pro-choice before i became a pagan.

Christian (Presbyterian), pro-life on abortion. My religious beliefs do affect my view on abortion, yes.
