JW’s why has the WBTS published this outright lie?

In your book, Examining the Scriptures Daily 2012 in the forward is the lie that only about 0.1 percent of the world truly make the bible their guide.

In fact, those who truly make the Bible their guide are a minority—only about 0.1 percent of the earth’s population.

To be a mistake it would mean the writer truly believed that only JW’s truly used their bible as their guide but as we all know, the other sheep JW only uses part of his bible as directed by the other publications of the WBTS and in fact disregards most of their own bible.

I would estimate the figure that truly uses their bible as a guide would be closer to 10% of the worlds population and that would not include JW’s.

Even if the writer believed that Christians, those that follow Christ, do not understand their bible but are still led by it he would need to have a much larger figure.

This can only be an outright lie in an effort to make the JW’s look good in their own eyes. No Christian would believe this figure and I am sure God is not too impressed with it either.

Lord we pray that You will open their eyes [JW’s], and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in You. Adapted from Acts 26:18

You have this publication in hand because you
appreciate God’s Word. You view the Bible “just as
it truthfully is, as the word of God.” (1 Thess. 2:13)
By reading the Bible daily, you demonstrate your belief
that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial
for teaching, for reproving, for setting things
straight, for disciplining in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:
16) And by applying what you learn, you give evidence
of whole-souled love for our Creator and his
Word.—1 John 5:3.
However, not everyone feels the way you do. In
fact, those who truly make the Bible their guide are
a minority—only about 0.1 percent of the earth’s
population. Some even feel that having knowledge
of the Bible would cause a person to reject God.

Simple answers: The Jehovah’s Witnesses &quot:make the bible their guide&quot:????? LOLOLOL!! They are basically projecting. The guide they HAVE TO USE are the publications, plain and simple. Oh of course lest ye forget, they also depend fully on the Elders for guidance and direction. The bible is rarely used among their prayer groups.

In the 18th century Americans started moving west and three institutions went with them. There was vaudeville, traveling entertainment. There was lyceum, traveling education and culture. And there was the itinerant preacher, offering a new style of preaching called &quot:hellfire and brimstone&quot:. It was very entertaining, only loosely based on scripture, and pastors didn’t even try to compete. Instead they switched to public morality and philosophy. Eventually an entire generation grew up not knowing the first thing about the religion they claimed to believe. Since about 1970 a few people have dedicated themselves to rediscovering what the bible actually says, but there is considerable resistance based on &quot:faith of our fathers&quot:, which is to say a famously brainless devotion to faith for its own sake.

As for who is led by the bible, we used to say that 10% of Americans claimed to be Christians but churches only had seating capacity for 2%. Other countries don’t get discussed much. Members of one church will insist that members of any other church are not following the bible, and it’s hard to get members of any one church to agree on what they officially believe.

Bottom line: anybody’s guess is about as good as anybody else’s guess, which is to say no good at all.

I find this to be a wildly speculative claim that &quot:just happens&quot: to mean that the number of people who truly use The Bible as their guide is about the number of Jehovah’s Witnesses, roughly 7 million people worldwide.

The more I learn about the Jehovah’s Witnesses leaders, the more I am convinced that they are not merely profoundly in error, but are in fact persistent willing liars. I trust that the average Jehovah’s Witness is not so much a liar as a victim of lies. Nonetheless, they disseminate false information persistently. I pray that the average Jehovah’s Witness does this only in error, and not intentionally.

May God The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit forgive those who lie about God.
May Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate,
come to be known by all who now reject His divinity.

I am Roman Catholic.
Peace be with you.

EDIT: Sacred scripture from the Old Testament and the New Testament is read at every Catholic mass. In the United States alone, about 78 million people are Catholic. At least 17% report that they attend mass once every week or more often. That would mean that a little over 13 million Catholics in the U.S. make a point of hearing sacred scripture read and discussed AT LEAST once a week.

I could not find data on how many Catholics attend daily mass, nor on how many Catholics read The Bible daily even if they are not able to attend mass daily. Given the ready availability of Catholic radio and television shows that broadcast the mass daily, I trust that many more than 13 million Catholics make The Bible a regular part of our lives. Please note that I am talking hear of only American Catholics.

I used a data set for Catholics in the U.S. because it was especially easy to find. When we consider the additional millions of Christians in America who are not Catholic, I trust that this makes a total of many tens of millions of Christians just in the U.S. who make The Bible a part of our daily lives. That is far more than the number in the entire world that you gave us from the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ report.

I must say, with great sadness and concern,
that I think such reports from the Jehovah’s Witnesses leadership are lies.
Although I confess that I feel great sadness and concern about this,
I also proclaim that I have humble but confident hope in the salvific grace of God.

I do not presume, but I humbly hope and trust,
that the saving mercy and peace of Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate,
is made available to us all in ways that are sufficient for us to accept salvation from Jesus.

I pray for us all to be united in truth and peace.
By &quot:us&quot: I mean all of us humans.
Peace be with you.

Quite simply, it is because they believe that only THEY are truly making the bible their guide, because only THEY practice what they say the bible tells them to practice.

So, they see this as fact. While any thinking person knows it is far from fact and is instead speculation and exaggeration, that is what they believe.

You’ve got to get out more and find out things for yourself.

In my experience, most people do not even use the Bible as a code of conduct. They are guided by popular opinion.

For example. Homosexuality is a key topic in the United States. People from all religions want to help gay people get equal rights. The Trinitarians are the lead in this. Sure, there is a small minority who is opposed, but the vast majority want to give gay people equal rights secularly and in their Trinitarian churches. Homosexuality is becoming as normal and accepted as heterosexuality.

I can go on and on how your Trinitarian brothers and sisters do not use the Bible as your code of conduct and a standard for everyday life.

I don’t find that hard to believe. After all, most Christians are just people that cherry-pick the parts they like out of the bible, and ignore the parts they don’t. Many haven’t even read the entire thing, and many don’t go to church. They’re really just fence-sitters.

Then explain why so many so-called Christian denominations are accepting of evolution and allowing practicing homosexuals into their memberships and clergy, are accepting of homosexual marriage, allow their members to go to war, and so on and so on? And why aren’t the people of Christendom out preaching the good news of the kingdom as Jesus commanded? He did not assign a clergy class to do it, he commanded ALL disciples to preach.

Exactly right !,…..a different ( &quot:false&quot: ) leading is still a leading .

Have you ever even been inside a Kingdom Hall?

I’m going to go with: ROMNEY.

He’s the root of all ‘alternative’ religious evil!!!
