Sunday is a working day. It is the first day of the week. The Biblical rest day is the Sabbath day. Sabbath is a Holy day.
Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy.
Many have been decieved 🙁 given your answers there is much confusion, if God loves ALL of us, why and how then, can you say He gave something to the Jewish peoples ":only": and then gave us the day after??? doesn’t make ":common sense": does it, aside from that, He gave us ALL the 7th Day Holy Sabbath in Genesis, LONG B4 there were any race/culture. would some of you like to know how you were decieved??? I always welcome Truth, how about you???
Sunday is our ":mark": of authority…the church is above the Bible, and the transferrence of the Sabbath day observance is proof of that fact. Catholic Record, Ontario, London, Sept. 1, 1923
the almost forgotten day
Rev. 14:6-12 a three fold message that goes out to the whole world just before Jesus returns. One of the key issues in this message is Worship. It draws a dark contrast between those that worship Him that made-the Creator- and those who worship the beast…Genesis 1:31 no pain/suffering, no disease and no death:-) Creation was perfect! on the seventh day, God did something more (Genesis 2:1-3) He rested, He blessed the seventh day and He sanctified it or set it apart for Holy use. Not because He was ":tired": Isaiah 40:28 He showed as example. This day was given to us hundreds of years before there were Jewish peoples and is intended so we could rest from the day to day affairs of life and simply spend time with Him.
the Sabbath is important because it keeps us focused on the fact that God is the Creator. 1Chronicles 16:26/Psalm 96:5 &: Jeremiah 10:11,12 points out what sets God apart from false gods is His creative ability. false gods cannot create something out of nothing. neither can satan, this is why he hates the 4th Commandment, points out he is not a real god he would love to sit at the Throne, Isaiah 14:12-14, hence why he has worked through ":man": to change worship to sun day.
Passages of Scripture alongside with Acts 20:7, a million Corinthians sixteen:2, Colossians 2:sixteen-17, and Revelation a million:10 point out that, even for the period of New testomony circumstances, the Sabbath is not binding and that Christians are to worship on the Lord’s day: Sunday. The early Church Fathers in comparison the observance of the Sabbath to the observance of the ceremony of circumcision, and from that they validated that if the apostles abolished circumcision (Gal. 5:a million-6), so additionally the observance of the Sabbath might desire to have been abolished. moreover, it would be stable suggestion to examine slightly extra into the Bible to benefit a greater suitable expertise. God bless’
The NT Messiah broke the sabbath of the Pharisees though NOT the Sabbath of His Father in Heaven in accordance to the Written Torah.
If the NT Messiah taught His followers to break the Sabbath commandment He would be in direct rebellion against His Father through disobedience to the Written Torah.
Joh 5:19 So Jesus said to them, ":Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
Isa 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the TORAH of YHVH:
Saturday is still the Sabbath, Sunday is the Lord’s day

Catholic Christian вЂ
“Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come: the reality, however, is found in Christ.” (Colossians 2:16–17). The Jewish Sabbath was abolished at the cross where Christ “canceled the written code, with its regulations” (Colossians 2:14).
“One man considers one day more sacred than another: another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord” (Romans 14:5–6a). “But now that you know God — or rather are known by God — how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years” (Galatians 4:9–10).
The O.T. system of Law required keeping the Sabbath as part of the overall moral, legal, and sacrificial system by which the Jewish people satisfied God’s requirements for behavior, government, and forgiveness of sins. The Sabbath was part of the Law in that sense. In order to ":remain": in favor with God, you had to also keep the Sabbath. If it was not kept, then the person was in sin and would often be punished (Ezekiel 18:4: Rom. 6:23: Deut. 13:1-9: Num. 35:31: Lev. 20:2, etc.).
But with Jesus’ atonement, and justification by faith (Rom. 5:1), we no longer are required to keep the Law and hence the Sabbath which was only a shadow of things to come (Col. 2:16-17). We are not under Law, but grace (Rom. 6:14-15). The Sabbath is fulfilled in Jesus because in Him we have rest (Matt. 11:28). We are not under obligation to keep the Law and this goes for the Sabbath as well.
Yes I know.
Sunday is the Lord’s Day, the day we celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead.
The Sabbath begins at sundown, Friday evening and ends Saturday evening, at sundown.
The who claims that ":Jesus CHANGED THE SABBATH": presented a lot of Bible verses but none of them say that Jesus changed the Sabbath.
Colossians chapter 2 says:
13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,[b] God made you[c] alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us: he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[d]
16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come: the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Jesus cancelled the Sabbath day law, but He didn’t change the Sabbath.
Paul then told us not to judge others about the Sabbath.
Sure bro, no problem, I keep 7th day , saturday sabbath, have for many years, but more important, how you act on other 6 days? Claim that sunday is ‘lord’s day’ is day for worship, not supported by Bible, just by human tradition. Roman Catholic church, even claim to have changed the worship day from saturday to sunday, yeah? So yeah I know what Bible says.
Thanks for reminding me.
Note to CeCe C:
You good bible student, but you might want read KJV on Collosians, it not capitalize ":sabbath":, remember Paul writing to christian converts of jewish Collosians, they were esthetics, very strict on observance of everthing, Paul really telling them jewish observances of new moons, or end of month, and ‘sabbaths’ which were observed as an extra feast or ritual day were not necessary any more. Also, Christ death did away with jewish sacrifices of lamb, goats etc to atone for sin, Christ death and resurrection did away with that, remember Sabbath part of 10 commandments, 4th one actually, 10 commandments not done away with, so Sabbath(not small case sabbaths) still in effect. But like I say, is more important what you do on the other 6 days, how you treat people, how you feed the hungry, take care of widow’s and orphans, but be aware, Roman Catholics claim they changed the day to worship from Saturday to Sunday, pretty good evidence they did just that. Good evidence that early Christian church, worship on Saturday, not Sunday. Peace to you wahine.
Sabbath = rest day of the Lord: sunday is the resurrection day of the Lord Jesus.
What day is the sabbath, I dont know: what day is Sunday is Sunday.
BTW, Matt 12:1
AT that time Jesus went through the corn on the sabbath: and his disciples being hungry, began to pluck the ears, and to eat.
Sussana SDA, As you could see even Jesus worked on the sabbath.
Are you aware Jesus CHANGED THE SABBATH?
Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink, or in respect of a festival day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths,
Mark 2:27 And he said to them: The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath also.
The Sabbath of the New Covenant is Sunday. Jesus resurrected on Sunday and the Biblical Church met on Sunday and Jesus was there(The First Day of the week).
And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre.
Now when it was late that same day, the first of the week, and the doors were shut, where the disciples were gathered together, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them: Peace be to you.
Acts Of Apostles 20:7
And on the first day of the week, when we were assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, being to depart on the morrow: and he continued his speech until midnight.
1 Corinthians 16:2
On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him: that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.
I will pray for you
